Bite Me

Now that I'm not in school, summer does not have the same excitement it once did, but its one redeeming factor (for me, at least) is the start of True Blood season 4!! WOO! I could not be more excited for this Sunday. Here is just one of the many reasons I have waited months in anticipation: Alexander SkarsgÄrd a.k.a. Eric in GQ's June issue

Line I Love: Theodora & Callum

Founded by Stefani Greenfield and Desiree Gruber, Theodora & Callum is a new accessories line featuring bags, shoes, jewelry and scarves inspired by their exotic travels around the world with a distinct 60's and 70's feel. With shoes and bags manufactured by Stuart Weitzman, you know you're getting worthwhile quality. Here are some favorites (along with pretty much every single one of their scarves) :

Outdoor Envy

My mom and I were writing a home description when we got on the topic of the difference between a porch and a deck. After some extensive googling, we realized we are not the only ones wondering the difference between a porch and a deck (or balcony, patio, or veranda), nor is there a definitive answer to the question. This is what we gathered: a porch is integral to the architecture, covered, and usually at the front of the house. A deck is always made of wood and used for outdoor entertaining. Here in the south having one or the other is pretty much necessary. Hopefully one day I'll have both. Here are some of my favorite decks (or maybe they're porches?) :

I Love Gold

I love gold. 90% of my jewelry is gold. My couch is gold. The mirror above my couch is gold. (Because I painted it gold.) I even dye my hair gold. The past 17 years I have been telling everyone my favorite color is blue! I just realized today, it's been gold all along. I would've loved to do a little spread (like this or this) about gold after having this life-changing epiphany, but sadly my laptop is in the shop and I am photoshopless. So this will have to do. Maybe I'll save that for another day.

Night at the Museum

I've started piecing together a gallery wall in my living room to help disguise the flat screen looming over my fireplace (note: this placement was not by choice - there was a huge gaping hole there with cables sticking out where the previous tenants mounted theirs so I pretty much had to follow suit.) It is quite a process, though, finding affordable art that speaks to me so hopefully I will have finished the wall by the time my lease is up. Meanwhile, here's my inspiration.
