This week's Outdoor Envy features a few funky, relaxing, bohemian spaces that seem to beg you to blow off work and just come chill there, man.
To create a similar space, I started with a patterned rug. I wanted something kind of ethnic, like a suzani or serape, but when I saw this kilim rug (and the price!), I was sold. These wicker and chrome chairs are beautiful but still natural enough for a casual outdoor living space, and the yellow metal lounge chair screams offbeat backyard coolness, so I had to include it. Potted plants, plenty of pillows, an outdoor fireplace, some tunes, and maybe some of these strewn about for extra guests and you'll have the coolest backyard on the block!
From left: driftwood birdhouse, potted plants: bonsai carmona, chrysalidocarpus lutescnes, drum garden stool in teal, ivory decorative pillow by John Robshaw, handwoven Turkish striped kilim pillow cover, leopard pillow, bocce ball set
