Simultaneously amused and perplexed by the whimsical work of Dara Scully via photojojo...

Glass Globes

I know I've talked about my "need" for a chandelier but lately I've been craving something lighter and cleaner like these glass globe pendants...

Outdoor Envy

Happy Monday friends! This week's outdoor envy features some amazing spaces from Commune, an L.A.-based design house specializing in interior and graphic design (and therefore my dream employer). How awesome is this outdoor kitchen? ... that flows so perfectly from their equally awesome indoor kitchen:

Sorry - I got distracted. Back to the outdoors...

I love how relaxed and bohemian, yet modern and chic these spaces are. Their commercial work carries the same vibe like the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs:

I need to pay Palm Springs a visit.

Gobble Gobble!

The Cuteness

Why can't all little girls be dressed in 3.1 Phillip Lim? Scratch that - why can't everyone be dressed in 3.1 Phillip Lim? Yes, I know, it's not exactly affordable, but this little one is just too cute.

DB/CB

I am loving every single piece over at DB/CB Debra Baxter: Crystal Bomb - they are so unique! It's too hard to choose a favorite, but I'll go ahead and put them all on my pretend fantasy Christmas wish list :)

The House of Windsor

I just spent way too much time enjoying the 360° tour of Veranda's House of Windsor. Pictures alone do not do this concept house justice and I love discovering all the details in every little nook and cranny (like the herringbone tile in the fireplace - too good). Definitely check it out.

Take A Bow

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than to wrap yourself up in a bow?

A good idea: limit yourself to one bow at a time to keep from looking like a giant baby doll.
A better idea: pair it with leather to balance out the frills.

Clockwise from top left: 1. Diane Von Furstenberg trelodie tie top 2. Alex Woo little princess bow necklace 3. Michael Antonio ladina pump 4. Notte by Marchesa silk organza and tulle dress 5. Turkey Day Tables

Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving? As in next week !? I just realized that yesterday. Some lovely tablescapes (and dining rooms) to get you all excited for the obscene amount of calories you get to consume guiltlessly in one day (it's called giving thanks).

Richard Saja

Richard Saja uses thread and a sense of humor to reinterpret traditional toile. So creative, unexpected and totally weird - right up my alley. Check out his blog for more.

Magic Slippers

I wasn't searching for house shoes or anything, but when I came upon these beauties over at Anthropologie I realized they might be the most perfect house shoes I'd ever seen... what do you think?

Sunday Special

A perfect place to watch the Falcons play the Saints today, don't you think?

My sweet mom (who subscribes to this blog - hi mom!) told me she likes "when there are more pictures," so I'll go ahead and share the rest of this handsome bachelor pad from November's issue of House Beautiful.

Designed by Parrish Chilcoat and Joe Lucas for a professional hockey player, this southern Cali home was made for entertaining the boys. You can't tell from this photo, but doors on the west side of the kitchen open up to the ocean, while doors on the east open up to the pool - perfect for indoor-outdoor gatherings.

The living room is outfitted with a bar, a keg tap, a wine fridge and separate beer fridge. (wow.) As for the herringbone sisal carpet, Chilcoat notes, "it's bulletproof, hides a multitude of sins and adds humility to places that need it."

Antlers are a nod to the homeowner's Canadian roots.

Chilcoat and Lucas stick to grays, khakis, and blues throughout to make sure each room relates to the others. Check out the rest of this man cave right here

Friday

Be thankful and have a great weekend!!

Blank Canvas

I'm loving these all white rooms where you can add as much or as little color as you like. They feel so fresh and Scandinavian. I imagine you would be cleaning quite frequently, though...
