This and That

Fun fact: I was named "most likely to be a graffiti artist" in high school. While the prediction never came true (not yet at least), I still enjoy some good street art like Pablo Delgado's miniature wheatpaste scenes found gracing the streets of London - could you imagine walking along and spotting one of these little gems?

Design I love: Mociun

Love these prints from Mociun, a fashion, fabric & jewelry line that uses recycled, organic and alternative materials.

Sneak Peak

I warned you back in May about Missoni and Target's collaboration for Fall featuring over 400 pieces - Target's biggest to date - and have been anxiously waiting for a lookbook ever since. While I have yet to see one, I came across these photos of Margherita Missoni filming the commercial:

I might be waiting at Target's door September 13th to snatch up that suitcase.

Further excitement ensued when I came across this feature from Vogue's August issue on Margherita and the line:

"Quality has always been one of the key aspects of Missoni, along with knitwear, pattern, and color," she explains. "It's this artisanal quality that was so important to my grandparents." After several trips to Milan for the Target team to trawl through the Missoni archives, and Margherita and her mother, Angela, braving a snowstorm in Minneapolis for the final fittings, they couldn't be happier with the results.

I have a feeling this will be Target's best partnership yet.

Outdoor Envy

Please excuse the absence lately - we went to Chicago for Allen's brother's wedding (which was so much fun and absolutely beautiful) and just got back late last night. I wish I had taken more pictures so I had something to share, but we were so busy I hardly had time to document anything! We had a blast in Chicago, though, and were quite sad to leave so soon. In honor of  Lake Michigan, this week's outdoor envy features some lovely lakeside spaces.

Bold Gold Mirrors

Just wanted to say I love them. Big or small, in all shapes and styles, gold mirrors are awesome and always will be.

They can take center stage or serve as an accent piece.

They work with any color scheme and never look out of place.

I can't decide which shape I like best. Which one's your favorite?

Spotlight on: Sheridan French

I first learned of the lovely Sheridan French when she commented on my post over at Coco + Kelley, and after doing a little research, I decided she might be my new idol. As if being a wife, mother, fashion editor and blogger wasn't enough, she launched her own very successful line of beautiful dresses, tunics, tops and shorts. So basically she is Wonder Woman. Here are some favorites below -  each piece is available in a variety of handmade fabrics from Bali. How perfect are these for a summer vacation or just to throw on to run errands? Effortlessly chic for sure!

I also love her "how I wore it page" on the site - is she not the cutest gal you ever saw?

Her blog The Southern Eclectic is a fun look into her life as a mom and wife along with everything else she's got going on each day. I highly recommend it!

Outdoor Envy

This week's outdoor envy features some lovely striped spaces. Whether you go bold in black and white or more subtle with airy curtains, stripes are a great way to diversify your color palate or introduce pattern that's fresh - not overly busy or decorative.
