I'M ALIVE!

Hello my friends, it's been a while! Sorry for the absence - I've been a busy bee wearing a few too many hats, but I finished up a few projects this week and am now enjoying some much needed rest and relaxation. I'll be back in action with some fun gift guides and other pretty goodies come Monday. Just wanted to say cheers to you and yours and have a fabulous weekend!

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is finding the perfect gift that you know your friend or family member will love and appreciate. A Funky Fresh Xmas

I am loving the way Creative Director of Ballard Designs Jill Sharp Brinson and Suzanne Kasler decorated Brinson's Peachtree Heights home for the holidays.  Their attention to detail is amazing and they made sure to sprinkle holiday cheer in every nook and cranny - like ornaments in vintage carriage candle lanterns, festive greenery tucked behind mirrored sconces and a wreath layered on top of a mirror. The almost bare tree in the stairwell loaded with pearl, bronze and pink painted glass ornaments is unconventional but still warm and merry, just like the rest of the home's Christmas decor. Job well done, ladies!

Favorite Things

A few favorite things from some sweet shops I discovered on Etsy this week...

How cool is this pipe bookshelf by Stella Blue Designs? and I am so tempted by this charming little tea cart - it's only $75! Also love these sleek and simple sphere vases by Rou Designs, a mother and daughter team based out of Long Island (isn't that sweet?) and I'm glad I stumbled upon Fortune by Kim Dulaney - it was hard to choose a favorite of her one of a kind pieces. Case and point: this awesome necklace and this awesome necklace. Actually, I'd like one of everything. And if you're looking for colorful photography and interesting compositions, be sure to check out September Wren.

Glass Globes

I know I've talked about my "need" for a chandelier but lately I've been craving something lighter and cleaner like these glass globe pendants...

Outdoor Envy

Happy Monday friends! This week's outdoor envy features some amazing spaces from Commune, an L.A.-based design house specializing in interior and graphic design (and therefore my dream employer). How awesome is this outdoor kitchen? ... that flows so perfectly from their equally awesome indoor kitchen:

Sorry - I got distracted. Back to the outdoors...

I love how relaxed and bohemian, yet modern and chic these spaces are. Their commercial work carries the same vibe like the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs:

I need to pay Palm Springs a visit.

Gobble Gobble!

The Cuteness

Why can't all little girls be dressed in 3.1 Phillip Lim? Scratch that - why can't everyone be dressed in 3.1 Phillip Lim? Yes, I know, it's not exactly affordable, but this little one is just too cute.
