Her + There

How lovely is Elle Fanning in this photoshoot from Marie Claire? She is adorable. And much more tolerable than her sister. No offense Dakota. Also loving this little nook - so cozy with the fireplace. Although I might want to add an egg crate or something for more cushion, but I bet the view out that window makes up for it.

Outdoor Envy

Happy Monday morning! Hope you had a good weekend. We had a great time in Cashiers - I was a little sad to come home, but I'm leaving again on Thursday so I can't really complain. This week's Outdoor Envy features an awesome backyard patio created by one of my very favorites: Sandy Koepke.

It has everything you need - a fireplace, sitting areas, dining areas and a full kitchen!

The color palate echoes the southwestern feel of the materials.

Notice the beer on tap - genius! Sandy thinks of everything. She also loves using salvaged materials. That bar/table is an old candy store counter.

She used basalt for the counters to keep the kitchen feeling natural, not too pristine.

You can see the more formal dining area behind and above

I've actually shared this dining space before, but it is so much more awesome in context with the kitchen and fireplace. Check out Sandy's website for more beautiful spaces - you might recognize a few.

Happy Friday!

There's nothing quite like a mini vacation to help you relax and get your mind off of things. We're headed to the mountains for the weekend and I couldn't be more excited for a change of scenery. Hope you get a chance to take your own mini vacation - even if it's just to a new restaurant. Have a fabulous weekend!

This and That

Happy Thursday! Here are a few things that have caught my eye this week...

I just came across Shoe Thief and it pretty much made my day. Designer shoes at DSW-like prices? Count me in.

Art I Love: Kate Shaw

I love the way Kate Shaw is reinterpreting landscapes. Plus, she uses GLITTER. Need I say more?

Outdoor Envy

This week's outdoor envy features some balconies that are a bit (or a lot) larger than last week - for those of you with more room to move, here's some decoration inspiration.

Favorite Things

Good news: Etsy is back to its old layout! In appreciation, I did some serious browsing. Here's what I found:

I couldn't choose one favorite among this week's etsy wishlist, so I'll tell you a bit about them all.

Indian vs Indian is such a cool shop to look through because of its unified style. I can't stop thinking about their vintage camping stools (& all their other awesome chairs) and how great they'd look on my balcony.

These lovely earrings by Jamie Cox from Deuce struck my fancy, and looking through her shop I realized I love everything she makes - all from vintage materials. I'd site some other favorites, but it was too hard to pick so definitely check out her shop.

How cute is this boat fabric from Aunt June? Also love the feathers fabric on these bags

And last but certainly not least, this awesome "Heck Yes" sketchbook from slide sideways, because who wouldn't be pumped to sketch or write in this? Pay them a visit for other fun handmade goods. Have a lovely Sunday!
