This and That

I shared some knit trees by Suzanne Tidwell a while back thinking they were so unique and original, only to find that yarn bombing (as it is referred to) is a growing new form of street art. Pretty awesome, no? via Street Art Utopia
New Black Keys single Lonely Boy makes me wanna dance
Jorge Colombo creates some impressive iPhone art
Some interspecies mingling (i.e. the world's greatest mommy)

Artifactual Information

It's no secret that I like looking at collections of other people's stuff (when they are voluntarily showcasing it in an artful way, of course) - like here and here - which is why I love The Coveteur. Here are some recent favorites:

Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan - This home is so clearly J. Adler - bright modern 'happy chic.' How fun is the zebra? and that Chevron carpet? not to mention the ceiling and those super tall windows in the third picture.

Maria Duenas Jacobs, Accessories Editor at Glamour - love everything about her style, the epitome of bohemian glam. I could definitely live here - especially if the closet was included.

Nicky Hilton - could you imagine that shoe collection? How would you even pick out what to wear in the morning? Love the wallpaper and that chandelier. Also, her cat looks a lot like mine :)

Three very different people with very different stuff artifacts.

What you got in that bag?

I love small collections of people's stuff. Like this one. It may seem creepy but I tell myself it is anthropology related: material things = artifacts, ok? So I loved this little photo essay from Vogue and The Coveteur about what their favorite editors, designers and chefs pack in their weekend vacation bag. See the full feature here

The Burning House

The Burning House challenges anyone and everyone to answer one question: If your house was burning, what would you take with you? The concept is fascinating and I love how much the answers reveal about the person.
