This and That

I shared some knit trees by Suzanne Tidwell a while back thinking they were so unique and original, only to find that yarn bombing (as it is referred to) is a growing new form of street art. Pretty awesome, no? via Street Art Utopia

Greenhouse

After a long hard search, I finally found the perfect glass bowl for the terrarium I had been talking about making for weeks (literally) and then I watched this super helpful little video via designsponge and sprout home and created my own little ecosystem.

supplies: river rocks, charcoal, potting soil, plants, glass bowl

I decided to go with succulents because they require less water (and therefore less responsibility). I've only watered twice since I planted them three weeks ago and everything's thriving wonderfully. Planting was kind of messy so do it outside or some place easy to clean up, but it was really easy and such a lovely end result!

Outdoor Envy

A crystal chandelier epitomizes glamour, but there is something so lovely and unexpected about having one outside - whether it is made of crystal, iron or driftwood. This edition of Outdoor Envy features outdoor living spaces with chandeliers. And for good measure, here are two creative, relatively easy DIY projects to make your own outdoor chandeliers: one with crystals and mason jars and the other with a hanging pot rack and succulents
